Flowers for Winter Feasts ; Saturday November 16 2:00 - 4:30
The Winter season brings cozy dinners and holiday celebrations. The table sets the tone, and any gathering will become a FEAST with an abundant botanical centerpiece. In this class we will use the wild elements of the Pacific Northwest in combination with luxurious California-grown blooms to create centerpieces for the Winter feast table.
Hannah Morgan will demonstrate the fundamentals of the Fortunate Orchard design style, give tips for working with the wild botanicals of Winter and discuss sourcing and caring for flowers and foliage. After Hannah’s demo students will dive in, creating their own Winter centerpiece in an 8” footed bowl. There will be a bounty of seasonal botanicals and cultivated flowers available, and your finished piece will be perfect for a dining table or mantel.
Generous snacks and N/A drinks will keep students nourished as they create.
Class will be held in the Fortunate Orchard Studio near Seward Park, and space is limited to 6 students. Studio address and directions will be sent after registration is complete. Please note: Classes are non-refundable but are transferable.
